The 26 could do everything the 19 could, and better for EDC. I switched to the shield for everyday comfort as my threat assessment changed. I would say if I had to choose between the two , I would take the shield over the 19 with the 10 round restrictions but if out of the three could be my only gun, the 26 would probably win.
