It's hard to take a bow like the V3X and upgrade it while also keeping it at a relatively consumerable price or doing a massive overhaul. I think we're nearing the event horizon of how efficient we can make factory bows, unless the Hoyt bow next year has a super innovative cam system. Mathews, PSE, and Bowtech get my attaboy nods. I don’t love the Mach30 but I think it’s a solid offering and fills a niche. Mathews and the weight they got back to on their bows, the aesthetics of them, and they at minimum didn’t go backwards in performance. Bowtech has a really strong offering in their aluminum bows.

The Hoyt RX7 Ultra 34 is a great bow and is definitely a step up from the Mathews VXR 28. The Hoyt RX7 has a much smoother draw, and it is also longer and more forgiving. If you're looking to upgrade your bow, the RX7 is definitely worth it.
