Pfeiffer Beach is mainly known for two extraordinary natural wonders: pockets of purple sand and gorgeous rock formations including the frequently-photographed Keyhole Arch. You may have seen photos of Keyhole Arch at sunset when the sun’s golden rays align with the arch at just the right time creating a magical sight. Anyway, we got to Pfeiffer Beach, and made the sharp right turn coming from the north, only to find the parking lot full. So, we had to back track to the Big Sur park, where a bus took us down. You get hit $10 for the parking, and $5 per person for the bus ride. Our advice - Take the Bus Ride.
