Jan 29, 2024 · Towering at an impressive 13 feet tall, this iconic sculpture has become synonymous with the Smithsonian Natural History Museum. It has been on display at the museum since 1959 and is sometimes called the Fénykövi elephant, after the Hungarian game hunter who donated the hide, but it’s more often called by its nickname: Henry.
